This website provides a virtual space for sharing archival information and community projects related to the life and career of Dr. Roberta Bitgood (1908–2007), American organist, choirmaster, composer, and music educator. Everyone who was familiar with "Dr. B," whether as colleague, friend, or family member, will know that shared experience was at the core of her values — indeed, her ever-widening circle of acquaintances often felt that they, too, were family. For those who would remember, we offer the RB Commons as a place to explore the details of the biodata and professional materials Roberta has left behind, and in doing so to reflect on the nature and meaning of that legacy.
